Wayne Township Station 85

Station 85 is located on the north end of Wayne Township. This fire station houses a fire engine, paramedic ambulance, and the on duty Safety Officer. Station 85 protect the town of Clermont, the north side of Wayne Township, and also responds to Speedway, Pike Township and the Indianapolis Fire Department protection areas  as an automatic aid responder.

The House Captain at Station 85 is Captain Eric Banister. Station 85's apparatus responded on 5,080 runs last year.

Engine 85 is a 2020 Smeal Metro Star on a Spartan  chassis. It has a 2000 gpm pump and a 500 gallon water tank.

 

Medic 85 is an Advanced Life Support (ALS) transporting ambulance. IT responds to runs throughout the west side of Indianapolis, and is one of four ambulances in Wayne Township.

Ambulances are equipped

Safety 80 is the response vehicle for the department's Incident Safety Officer. It is staffed 24 hours a day and responds form Station 85. Safety 80 responds on all fire and rescue calls, hazmat, and specialized rescue runs.

The vehicle is a 2019 Chevy Silverado with an ARE camper shell for storage.
